We are looking for a Middle+ WordPress Developer (full-stack) who can join an already deployed multilingual content project on WordPress and bring it to a production-ready state. The role includes finalising and configuring multilingual functionality, implementing correct filters and sorting, integrating required APIs, ensuring full UI responsiveness across devices, and performing technical SEO optimisation.
Responsibilities:
Review and refine multilingual functionality and internal linking: ensure correct URL structure (/ru/ for Russian, /en/ for English), proper template operation for both languages, accurate hreflang configuration, language switcher setup, and internal linking between articles/news/services without harming SEO.
Improve filters on aggregator pages (/articles/, /news/, /services/, /partners/, /faq/, /search/): ensure filters (type, niche, etc.) work correctly in the UI and follow proper SEO logic — noindex for parameterized URLs and canonical pointing to clean URLs.
Finalize and stabilize the content ingestion REST API: ensure correct data reception from an external AI/parser via WP REST API, creation and updating of posts, proper handling of ACF fields and taxonomies; implement the RU content workflow with future expansion to EN.
Ensure full mobile responsiveness: fix layout issues in the theme/child theme, update grids, menus, and cards; perform basic performance optimizations (caching, minification, lazy loading, image optimization).
Perform SEO audit and indexing optimization: configure Yoast (titles, descriptions, canonicals, sitemap), ensure indexing of important pages while excluding service or “garbage” URLs; add structured data markup (Article, News, Service) and breadcrumbs.
