We are looking for a Head of Legal Department to provide legal support and assist in the strategic initiatives of the company. This position involves managing a team of lawyers and ensuring proper legal support at all stages of business development.
Requirements:
Higher legal education;
At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with foreign jurisdictions and banks;
Written and spoken English at a B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level;
Basic legal knowledge;
Experience in contract management, including oral/written negotiations with partners;
High sense of responsibility, organization, attention to detail, efficiency, emotional resilience, and strong communication skills;
Ability to process large volumes of information and work in a multitasking environment.
Responsibilities:
Establishing legal entities and providing legal support for companies in various jurisdictions;
Preparing and conducting legal due diligence (AML, KYC, KYCC, KYBC) on the company’s counterparties;
Working with foreign partners, negotiating with international law firms, banks, and other institutions;
Understanding how services for card issuers, card processing, the cryptocurrency market, and SEPA/SWIFT payments operate;
Preparing a complete set of documents, filling out questionnaires/forms, and other documents for account openings;
Working with contracts (drafting marketing agreements, software development agreements, IP protection, service agreements, etc.) in English;
Monitoring and analyzing legal practices related to the company’s activities and providing recommendations based on the findings;
Performing other tasks related to providing legal support for the company's operations;
Analyzing internal and external risks and creating methods to mitigate them.
